“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.” John Burroughs
As flags around the lake are lowered to half staff, we turn to Nature to seek balance and stability in troubled times. Nature is here for us now, hand in hand with Autumn, who often chooses to begin the day with a warm loving sunrise. Autumn’s colors rise with the sun, as Kingfisher chatters his approval and Mergansers begin their search for breakfast. We find comfort in being out on the water, sailing along in delightful breezes or just quietly puttering about. Mother Loon displays much more gray as she molts into her winter plumage. Ping and Pong continue to be healthy, happy chicks. And as if to sooth us even more, Moon rises gracefully, majestically, over the mountain each night… smiling her warm smile and assuring us that we will heal and that our senses will once again be put in order.
Sending all the best, Kittie
