“Possibilities for adventure, beauty, and goodness are all around you. And happiness is in your hands.” Virginia Miller
Even though the calendar has turned to March, there are ample opportunities to run outside and play in the snow! Skiing is excellent in the mountains, lakes are still frozen and forests beckon for your hiking pleasure. And for added excitement, the sap is running! A happy group of Goldfinch has been adding song to the yard, and Purple Finch seems glad to have the company. Even Father Cardinal has started to sing! Blue Jays are always thrilled when special treats arrive. They are never selfish, but spread the news quickly…”Come One, Come All!”. We marvel at the beauty of the Jay’s feathers, with intricate patterns bathed in shades of brilliant blue. Checking on the banded loon who winters on the coast of Maine, we find that she is dropping her flight feathers now and will be flightless for a few weeks until a new set grows in. Possibilities surround us every day and when pursued, often bring a great deal of happiness.
Sending all the best, Kittie
