High Water Conditions
PLEASANT LAKE HIGH WATER CONDITIONS
The lake level continues to be very high. Water is flowing over the emergency spillway and most fixed docks are at least partially submerged. There is a lot of debris, including logs, floating on or just below the surface, posing danger to skiers, boaters and tubers.
BOATING
Please be mindful of you wake!
Waves created by boats are splashing over rafts and docks and causing damage to the shoreline. (see video by Jackson Wheeler)
Reduced speeds are urgently needed!
We encourage everyone to be mindful of their neighbors docks, boats, and shoreline. Skiing or boarding down the middle of the lake will help. Please consider reducing wake boarding activity until the water has receded to normal summer levels.
LOST AND FOUND
We have had multiple reports of pieces of docks and other items floating on the lake or ending up on shore.
If you find something, or if you are missing something, please check the Pleasant Lake Protective Association Facebook page where we post Lost and Found Items. Or email us at plpa@plpa.net.
SEPTIC SYSTEMS
After many days of heavy rain, the ground is saturated and may lead to some septic systems malfunctioning. If your septic is not working properly, please have it inspected! Cyanobacteria blooms can result from such problems.
Septic systems that leach into the soil anywhere in the watershed can impact the lake.
Thank you for properly maintaining your septic system!
