All Things Pleasant on the Lake

There has been much excitement on the loon raft in Turtle Cove! Late last night the first chick entered the world of Pleasant Lake! The Esten Family has the honor of naming the chicks this year and the first chick is to be named “Ping”. AND…wonder of wonders…the second chick hatched this afternoon! AND…you guessed it….the second chick is named “Pong”! Looking carefully at the photos, through the pouring rain, you can see the second chick, Pong, breaking out of his shell. In the photo of Ping and Pong together, you can see that Pong is still drying off and gaining strength. Meanwhile, Ping enjoyed a number of swims and fresh minnows. Best of all was snuggling under the covers in that amazing feather bed! Mother and Father Loon are so proud! We are so proud of them as well and we welcome Ping and Pong!
