All Things Pleasant on the Lake
“The longer I live, the more beautiful life becomes. If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it. Your life will be impoverished. But if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.” Frank Lloyd Wright
To describe a rainy, dreary day as a beautiful day does not seem quite right, but actually, the lake and hills in shades of gray can be absolutely stunning! Lovely, old-fashioned Weigela is in bloom, branches drooping under the weight of hundreds of trumpet-like flowers. And hasn’t it been a wonderful spring for Iris? The flowers glow, even in the rain, and transform raindrops from clear to purple-blue. We find ourselves totally invested in the beauty of the loons. Loon chicks Ping and Pong are one week old. Their chubby little cheeks and downy fluff, together with their delightful antics, bring a great deal of joy. Our lives will not be impoverished! Beauty is always there, patiently waiting for us to reach out and grasp her lovely outstretched hand.
Sending all the best, Kittie
