We're glad to report that all is well on the loon raft everything seems to be progressing along just like it should. The loons proved to be difficult to shoot again this week up close so I figured that I could at least take a long shot so people can get a better feel for the area where the loons are.
First of all, great thanks to all for the kind emails that you sent in after the last update. It's truly heartwarming to see how deeply folks care about these emails and the sense of connection they bring to so many from all over the place!

And then there were two eggs! The second was laid last night and everything looks good and normal so far. The last picture is of some Tiger Swallowtails gathered to get minerals out of the mud.
We're very pleased to announce that we have one egg on the loon raft currently and we are hoping for another one today. Jen Esten kind enough to share these lovely shots of the loons taking care of and turning the egg.
It is with extraordinary sadness that I must tell you that Kittie Wilson, Our Precious Loon Lady, who had and an incredible zest for life passed away May 3.
