2018 Lake Lowering Information
Notice of Pleasant Lake Lowering, Fall 2018
Every five years Pleasant Lake may be lowered to allow for properly permitted waterfront work after Labor Day. The Town of New London will be making repairs to the face of the dam during the lake lowering of Fall 2018. Therefore, this will be a full drawdown of the lake.
On September 10th the lake lowering will begin. The lake will start being restored to the Winter Level on about October 30th.
If you need to do waterfront work, permits are required. You can familiarize yourself with permit requirements and process by visiting the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Wetlands Bureau,
Be sure to alert your contractor to the dates of September 10th to October 30th.
