All Things Pleasant on the Lake
“Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.” Lord Byron
Thank goodness that there have been rainbows this week, to smile the clouds away! So much rain, and every brook and stream filled to capacity. Even the ducks are talking about it! Lilacs, rhododendrons, and the last of the tulips…drenched and droopy as one rainy day turns into another. The weather has been just fine with Mother and Father Loon, as cool temperatures have helped keep the biting flies away. The loons continue to carefully tend their two precious eggs, switching every few hours and carefully turning the eggs many times during the day. Their promise of new life is like a rainbow in the storm, chasing away the clouds and filling tomorrow with hope and love.
Sending all the best, Kittie
