All Things Pleasant on the Lake
“Only in quiet waters do things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world.” Hans Margolius
Morning on the lake is all about quiet waters. Geese rise through wispy fog. Loons move silently to morning feeding grounds. Their minds are quiet, focused on the day and the task at hand. Perception of their world is keen and sharp and accurate. As the loons groom, their bands become visible and remind us of the loons’ tolerance and goodwill as we strive to learn more about their lives. Gardens are also wonderful places to seek to acquire a quiet mind. The floral bouquet is so warm in mid-August…leaving us feeling sunny and good. And while we are there, among the flowers, so are the hummingbirds! There are lots of babies now, finding their way, enjoying all the fresh nectar. We will enjoy searching for quiet waters in order to develop quiet minds. Nature will show us the way. Sending all the best, Kittie
