All Things Pleasant On The Lake
“Once you choose hope, anything is possible.” Christopher Reeve
All seems so peaceful and calm here on the lake, as we listen to the news and see the heartbreaking photos coming from storm ravaged Texas. We wish them all hope in the face of such despair. Peace continues among the loons, with friendly visitors coming and going. Ping and Pong look wonderful. They are a bit more independent now. Ping might be on one side of the lake, Pong on the other. Mother and Father might be somewhere else fishing. They all can see each other and sometimes exchange calls. The young loons have not quite mastered the beautiful calls of the loon, but are trying. They sound a bit croaky, and sing just off-key. September is hydrangea time in the gardens! How we love those huge nodding heads and sweet fragrance. Bumble bees love them as well, burrowing past the outer flowers to the nectar below. Our hummingbirds make us think of the winged Hope, from Greek mythology. Hope was given to Man to help him deal with all the evils of the world. May Hope enter every heart in need right now.
Sending all the best, Kittie
